Audience research conclusions
From my client questionnaire, i have found that majority of people wanted to see the victim struggling with nightmares, a therapist scene was very popular as well, therefore we'll be adding that. The most popular music was creepy horror music. Majority of the responses didn't want the plot to be revealed, therefore we won't reveal much, leaving the audience questioning and wondering. The most popular name was incubus therefore that is what our movie will be called.
Institution
Our film would include posters and merchandise. Also synergy will be created between the products that will be sold alongside the movie, this will happen by using a similar colour scheme and icon.

Genre
We will be creating a horror film, however with a small bit of thrill. We are going to follow the conventions of a horror film, for example, a creepy monster and scary music. We will be following the conventions of horror costumes by wearing black.
Content/structure
We will be calling our film Incubus, as it sounds quite sinister and creepy, it was also the most popular choice from the questionaire. The title Incubus sounds quite demon like as well. The audience don't know if Incubus is the name the monster. The main story of our film is about a teenage victim who often has nightmares based upon the same monster, the monster is always following her and wearing a mask therefore he is mysterious and creepy. At one point her dream becomes reality, she starts seeing the monster in random places. The victim starts feeling attacked and helpless, her mother does everything in her will to stop these nightmares, including therapy sessions, however she starts seeing the monster there as well. We will not be revealing the story in the trailer because majority of people voted in the questionnaire, that the story should not be revealed in the trailer.
Audience
The target audience for this movie are adults and teens who like watching sinister creepy movies with a bit of mystery. The movie appeals to its audience because there is both horror and thriller. The movie is definitely not aimed for children under the age of 12 as thy would find it too creepy and sinister. The thrill in the film would probably give them anxiety.
Representation
We will represent the monster in the trailer as a stereotypical monster, he will be wearing a mask throughout as it adds mystery. The monster will follow the conventions of a typical monster, however, the monster will be quite mysterious as well. The monster shows up at random places and follows the victim around, trying to hurt her mentally and physically. The teenage victim is represented as helpless and weak, she is very scared and lonely, the only person who tries helping her nightmare situation is her mother by taking her to therapy appointments that don't do much. The therapist is represented as a straightforward serious character who tries to help the victim as best as she can.Institution
